Cobalt Salem, Oregon Pharmacy

I thought I would share a few pictures of a bottle I was lucky enough to aquire last week for a reasonable price. Since Hadley New York is a long ways from Salem Oregon, I was looking for some opinions from some of the folks from out on the West Coast as to its rarity. It stands 5.25" tall, and has a rounded back, beveled front corners, and a tooled double lip. Embossed, A. T. WOOLPERT / P. D. QUISENBERRY / 410 STATE ST. SALEM, ORE. with CENTRAL PHARMACY LOGO on the left. The back shoulder has CENTRAL embossed. It is likely a dug bottle with some slight stain, but no damage. Any thoughts, or opinions welcome.

This is a pretty scarce druggist bottle and usually is seen in the smaller size ( 3.25 in.). This example is a tough one. Nice find!

I am not an Oregon bottle collector but living fairly closeby I am very familiar with a number of avid collectors of such items. If you want some additional info I can and will make some inquiries. The link above puts the value in the neighborhood of $150 and I suspect it could be worth more. If collectors of such items need it they won't be shy about anteing up top dollar which is what you should shoot for. Unless of course you would like to sell it to me for $50.00. Thanks for helping me find something out about this Cobalt Pharmacy. Now I know it came in at least 2 sizes likely more. Nice Job Jim, pulling that post out of the ABN archives. Its amazing how much bottle information is buried here on this forum. A friend of mine collects Colored Druggist Bottles, and says he has seen it, but does not have an example. I wont be keeping it likely, and he will be getting first dibs on it, as he comes up with bottles for my collection from time to time.
