This has been sitting in a box for 5 years. I finally dug it out today. I don't spend enough time with my wife and she loves puzzles, it seemed like it was a good idea.It is from a Pittsburgh company- Scotty's Puzzle Works. Doubt it was a licensed product, I am curious to see if Coca Cola is even shown. Not having a picture to go on, it is going to be a little challenge. Luckily, she is pretty awesome and it is an old school jigsaw. I'll post pics of finished piece. hopefully it is complete. It doesn't look like it has seen light in 60-70 years.

LtlBtl Very interesting! I guess you know if the puzzle is pre 1940s - fully intact - and in excellent condition, that it could possibly be worth hundreds of dollars and even thousands of dollars if it is turn-of-the century. I just thought I'd mention the possibility in case it hasn't occurred to you already. Extremely old Coca Cola paper items like calendars, etc; can net huge amounts of money - so please be careful and not slam your fists against those pieces that don't quite fit. (Lol) [:D]

217 pieces? That is a puzzle for Coke's sake and not for a puzzle's sake. Don't recall ever seeing an adult puzzle that wasn't pieces in even multiples of 50 -

Russell Puzzle ... 217 Pieces http://www.berkshirepuzzles.com/history_of_the_jigsaw_puzzle.html "One exceptional and unique production method came to life in the 1930s when a man named Charles Russell of Auburn, Massachusetts, fashioned a saw blade to his wife's sewing machine and began cutting wooden jigsaw puzzles with it." (He apparently made wooden puzzles but possibly made some cardboard ones as well ???)

P.S. ~ P.S. Based on everything I have read, cardboard puzzles were first introduced in the 1930s. But I have yet to find one from any era that is die-cut with straight angles (non-interlocking) like the one in question. It will be interesting to see what is revealed when it is finished.
