I'm looking for some info on this black glass bottle I just got. Before I go to sell it, I was wondering if this type of top had a special name, what the age of this bottle is, and any estimates on value too.

It is 9 and 3/4 inches tall and the base goes in over 1.5 inches. Its 3 and 1/4 inches across the base.

Thanks

Matt

Its darker than this pic suggests.

Pontil base, with a deep recession.

Blurry pic, but more representative of the bottle's true color.

Looks along the lines of an early dip mold cylinder late transition mallet, likely English from the period between 1790-1810 or so. The lip was hand formed without a particular molded lipping tool, where as the lip was flattened and shaped possibly with a paddle. Great bottle! Not so sure on value, but 50+ easy, likely more
