Dove a couple of days ago, got a basket full of stuff, no pontils, some milk bottles etc. Water wasn't too cold, had a good fun time. I got these two insulators. Insulators are so tricky to value. I dont have my text books/ price guide with me at the site obviously. So sometimes if I get an insulator that I know is different, and looks like a good one, it can drive you crazy on the drive home. I see insulators listed and valued at $5000 and more! And they are threaded! Just a slightly different shape or embossing or color.
Both of these are good ones, and in good condition, valued I think from $20 ish for the white one ( U-14) , to $60 ish for the aqua ( Cd 196 ). All the way home you're thinking "what if it's worth $10K? think of all the bills I can pay".
Not a good way to be a "hobbyist", I know, but I'm only human.
They are really cool ones, I was happy to get them, and I'm hoping there are more there, as they were located pretty close to each other at the bottom of the river, with their wood sticks still in them.
