Recently acquired an amber bottle embossed "Craft's Distemper and Cough Cure". Can't find any information on it anywhere! Would it have been a "man or beast" type of cure? Any information would be appreciated!
Thank you!
There's an ad for Craft's Distemper in this April 15, 1909 issue of The Madison, FLA New Enterprise.
The ad copy reads, "A safe and sure preventative and positive cure for all forms of Distemper, Influenza and Pinkeye, Coughs and Colds in Horses, Sheep, and Dogs, 50 cents or $1.00 at Druggists or prepaid. Write for free booklet "Dr. Craft's Advise."
It is amazing how medicines would claim to cure diseases caused by completely different pathogens....and even prevent them. Bottles got kind of dull after the Food and Drug laws.
