Yeah Doug that hole was a real "female dog" but having Craig's help made a huge difference in the way I felt at the end of the day. I was wondering about the "Manx Powder" bottle. It also has three initials on the reverse side. I'll have to take a look and get back to you on what they are.
Nice digs Zane! I dug up a different variant of the Moekemeller druggist all the way down here in Texas. It is misspelled though I belive. It reads " C. Menkemeller Pharmacist Wheeling, W. Va.". The mortar is embossed vertically on the bottle. Good luck on your next hole!
Brad
Great pit, guys. The Manx Powder is a very scarce and desirable bug poison bottle. They do not come up often, and the last one I saw brought around $300. That would be a definite keeper for me. You'll be very lucky to ever dig another one. I haven't even dug a common aqua Lyons yet, but I have found some other good non-bug poisons and lots of Dead Stuck flasks. ~Jim
