Can anyone tell me approximate age and value of this? It has a few old nicks at the mouth, all patinated over, no cracks. Thanks for any help!

Like I said on Arrowpack, your jug is very cool. I have a few of that type from my local area, and they are very scarce. My "gut" feeling is that yours is a scarce one, too. Go to the library and look at the early 20th C. Montgomery directories. That jug dates from right around that time, so the name Creil should appear.

Some knowledgeable collector from that area should chime in soon. Great find.

Nice One!!! I can't wait to dig some like that from my area!!! I searched all my books and couldn't find it listed, so it must not be too common? Thanks for sharing, Chris Capley
