I looked at the local auction listings this morning, while still half asleep, and I woke up instantly. I picked up a total of 29 decent jars, all 1858 Mason's. That is the largest number that I have found in many years at a general auction. The good news, however, is that at least nine are easy fits in my crude collection. Three of those, maybe four, are outstanding crude jars. I do not know where the extreme good luck, at finding crude jars, has come from these past couple of years but I thank whatever force is behind it.[8|] George

Nice additions, mason 1858 ground tops are hard to pass up sometimes even though so many were made. Lack of qaulity control at that time makes for some interesting jars today. Warren
