The clear, half gallon wax sealer is heavily whittled all over. It has bold swirling and a large, open bubble.
The green half gallon MASON'S ....1858 is a very fine example of a filled mold. There is severe distortion right in the middle of the lettering. The depressed area starts at the sealing surface and extends down thru the S in MASON'S and ends up with a deep cavity (up to 1/8 inch at the deepest) that erases much of the lettering.
The quart jar has extreme whittling, very sharp lettering and W C D on the base.
I was very fortunate to get these and several other jars for the crude collection at Muncie.
George
