Originally I thought this bottle was after 1900, but, since I know little about all this I may be wrong. Anyway, the bottle is brown, with a 'crown top?', and 2 seams that go almost to the top of the bottle. There are 'scratches around the top where the seams end and the top begins. It's embossed "SPEED BALL COMPANY WASHINGTON,D.C. REGISTERED." There are also 6 tiny bumps equa-distanced between the top and the embossing.

I'm just curious about the history of this bottle.

Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks
Drue

Hi Drue, welcome to the forum.
That is a nice early crown seal maybe 1900 to 1920, the top dosn't look as early as some but the base looks 1900'ish. I don't know the company history but it probably contained a soft drink of some kind.

Irish -
Thanx
My father dug it up in the 60's and when I got a few boxes of his finds, this one first caught my eye.
Actually a few others are really beautiful and I may post other pictures here if that would be ok.
Thanks again,
Drue
