hi danny: thate bottle was made just befor prohabiton.i say 1915 to 1920,the lip looks like a ring prioff, or it may have had a porsalin stoper, the kind thate thay used, so as you cud not refill it agen.i like thus odd bottles. sunra

REDGINGER,I GUESS YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE FADERAL LAW PROHIBITES?1920sand 1930s during prohabition which ended in the 30s under pres. roosevelt.

A bud of mine gave me two cases of those a few years back. I sold a few to collectors for 5 bucks and the rest for 3 bucks each to a dude who makes his own wine. I usually keep at least one of the common bottles that I find but for some reason I didn't keep one of those.

I believe glassman should say after prohibition not during prohibition. They weren't selling any bottles during prohibition. They put those words on bottles into the 1960's when I first took a drink of whiskey.

I know what he meant. Weren't there bottles besides alcohol that said that, though?
