Been a right nice weekend, Delta moved it's Heritage Festival which I jokingly call the red neck festival to Spring this year and boy was it hot today. The theme for this year's festival was antique auto racing and the areas various racing eras from enduros, to go carts, drag racing, early racers etc. They had a lot of the early cars there and some of the drivers. Yesterday I finally figured out the dimensions of one of the room sizes at Stonetown which is 14 X 22 feet. Here's a picture of my buddy Dave drilling corn around the site yesterday. He said I can dig up the corn even if I need too. Based on the room size, the apartment building would have been at least 120 feet long.

Later yesterday I decided to check out an old foundation on Dave's place where I dug some good stuff and he had pushed some more of the woods back to get in a couple more rows and he pushed up a milk bottle for me, here's an "in situ" [;)]shot.

The embossed side was down in the dirt so when I pulled it out I was stoked to find my first local, local milk of the year. Can't read it here but its a Gailey Ice Cream quart from Delta, Pa. That's some of our Coulsontown cottages in the background. Stonetown is behind me about 1/10th of a mile.

After the festival today I did a little fishing in one of my streams before having to go serve at the Mother/Daughter banquet at church. Caught and released a six inch, then 12 inch, then this 15 inch brown. This one was wore out and I tried to revive it by holding it in the stream for minutes and it even swam away. A few minutes later I see it laying sideways on the bottom of the hole so I had to take this one home. Breakfast tomorrow.

Thanks guys, finished out the weekend by volunteering at the local museum to host a group from Penacder Pres. Church,Glascow Delaware celebrating their 300th anniversery. Then took a nice hike last nite that got me back home about 9:30. One of the good things about milks is the possibilities of finding them right on the surface. I'm going to give that one to Dave as I have another. I did find a nice Quartz drill near the cottages in the background but gave it to the museum and haven't seen it since.

Nice ones Steve, I really enjoy seeing the progress and finds you are making there. I also have to say you relly made my mouth water talking about the fresh trout for breakfast. It has been many years since I enjoyed fresh caught trout. Did that one come from Deer Creek?

Nice shot of the milk in the ground, that's a cool picture. Local milks are always fun to find, and though I've never really fished with anything but nets it looks like you got yourself a worthy haul that day!
