Deep teal ink

Anyone know the value of a dark teal ink embossed: Alling's Pat'd Apl 25 1871? It has a filled-in 1/8 inch chip on bottom front...

The 1999 Kovels' has it at $255, presumably about mint... Jim Megura's 1991 book has it at $50-60...

If the flaw is as inconspicuous as stated, I might offer $60 for it... It's a beautiful color!

Ron I been watching that one! If I didn't already have one I would be bidd'n on it... I bet it goes for 100 clams. They are a bit harder to find then the aqua colored... Taz

The owner finally sent a photo of the damage... Altho it's not very clear, the pic was enough to convince me to not pursue it...

This bottle is up on ebay again... Going in about 3 hours... Looks like it'll be short of the reserve again... Still no clear photo of the damage...But check this out...
