Hey Keith! i too have over 30 lbs of sea and river glass, (live off a river that feeds into Long Island Sound about 5 miles downriver; river glass is not as worn and retains much of the true shape of the shard as it was when broken). Glad to see I am not the only collector. As far as what to do with it, you could make jewelry with it as SkinsFan mentioned, and like cryptic mentioned, sometimes people like to buy the glass as well, sometimes in bulk, 1lb bags etc.; especially the more rare colors such as red, orange, yellow, certain shades of blue, purple, pink etc. I myself am making a mosaic for the mother-in-law of the lighthouse here where her late husband's ashes were laid out nearby, and the rest i will most likely make into pendants. (keep a few for myself of course)! there are many uses for sea glass, but sadly, like cowseatmaize said, many fake it by simply breaking glass, tumbling it in a tumbler for a while, then selling it as "authentic" sea glass. Sad.
Good luck Keith....10 lbs is quite a bit, know you will be able to do something with all of it for sure.
I have been collecting sea glass for 5 years. I just put them in milk bottles and apothecary jars around the house. I also fill little bottles with shells and sea glass then sell them at a local souvenir shop.
