Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum and have a quick question about a decanter. I have been trying to research it and my search led me to a site which directed me here. Since I do have some regular antique bottles in my collection as well, I decided to join. I am hoping someone here will be able to help me with this decanter. The person who showed me this Donkey decanter from Italy told me it is worth around $100.00. I have not been able to find anything to suggest that it is worth that anywhere on the internet. It seems to say "Pometti Italy" on the bottom with a paper label that says "AA." I have found references to Pometti Italy wine but nothing about who made this decanter and when. Any information at all would be extremely helpful. Thank you all so much in advance. Melissa

Hi Melissa and welcome to the forums. I am not familiar with this particular bottle but I suspect it's vintage to be somewhere close to the ones popular in the USA, in the 1960 - 70s. Jim Beam, Ski Country, Ezra Brooks were some of the more popular users. The decanters themselves were not, of course, made my the sellers of the product. I hope that someone on the forum can give you more specific information about your particular bottle. Jim

I won't be much help on it, but it is a neat piece. Would love to see pictures of other bottles in your collection. Good to have you on board.

theses little win decanters were made before and after ww2 yours looks late 1940 to 1950s . I doubt it is wroth more then thirty dollars at the most . Italy has prolific pottery industry and you may find some thing similar being produced today.
