Let's get the best out of the way. How big is that Big Red Marble? In the pic it looks like a Brick. Any more pics? Take one of the bottom opposite the "9". It's handgathered for sure. Probably M.F. Christensen ,but I'm wondering about a pontil. How big is this marble?

The size is not quite 7/8" but a little larger than 13/16". There is no pontil on the marble. Let me know what you think.

The ones is your last pic look like china marbles.

My book calls them Line Crockery or Jaspers. Like I said, I do know some of the names of the hand made marbles but have a hard time with the machine made ones like the agates.

M.F Christensen Brick. That's one heck of a marble there. Hard to find them over 3/4" in decent shape. You could get a nice pontilled Ryan Soda for that one.

Well, I think you have plenty left. Any bites or damage takes away from a marbles value. Put that brick in it's own special place. Any more pics of the purple handgathered Slag?

Purple lmost looks like it has a touch of amber in the mix. Probably M.F. Christensen. They made more shades of one color than than any slag maker. Don't know if it was intentonal or lack of control on the batch.
