I have to oppurtunity to purchase a Double Eagle whiskey flask, amber in color, Cunninghams from Pisstburgh, Pa, seams run to the rim, good condition for 70$, any advice from you bottle experts. Thanks
Everything sounds GREAT until you get to the "seam runs to the rim" part. That might negate it being authentic. I agree that a picture is necessary to give an accurate evalueation.
Seam running to the rim, or through the rim? Is it a sheared lip, or does it have a lip finish? A picture speaks a thousand words, if you can post one that would help alot, if not do you know the reference this bottle most closely matches?
Doug is absolutely correct. The two piece mold would have gone all the way up the neck, then they applied a ring lip. This flask in amber is worth much more than the asking price.
