Seen some Construction dirt piles so figured I'd look around. Seen some old 1800's bottle shards scattered around. Was fenced off but at gate, the gate wasn't totally closed & cracked open. SO, I snuck in. Only found this one bottle when I seen a cop slowly driving by so I quickly retreated to my car. BUT, on the way to car I was suddenly surrounded by 2 cop cars & Interrogated. I said I was just looking for old bottles, Cop said he wasn't buying that & could arrest me for Tresspassing. I apologized & they let me go. LEON.

according to goggle maps cassapolis Michigan is a small town in south western Michigan, north of south bend Indiana . surprising it be big enough to have an orange crush bottler . I have also been questioned by police before , once I was driving thru southern Ontario a ways from where I live and decided to check out an abandoned farm or lot that had been a farm as no buildings left and some cop stopped and asked what I was doing there and as you say didn't seem to believe I was looking for bottles .

Impersonation may be a heftier crime? I don't know. Ive thought of this and it seems like it could go bad. Impersonating a hobo, now there you go....nobody arrests a hobo.

Carrying a clipboard & walky-talky would complete the ensemble. If no insignia on his outfit, he wouldn't be impersonating anyone. He could claim to be a safety minded amateur urban archeologist.

Exactly, No insignia, no impersonation. No "no trespassing" signs, and all that will happen is they tell you to leave. I am a bit surprised that Detroit police doesn't have anything better to do than police vacant lots.

cops are looking for trouble , and if they can't find it they will make it . I've been busted for trespassing more then once , the cops cud give a sh.. if your looking for bottles , it's a 175.00 dollar ticket, that's what makes them happy.
