Very nice Matt, good write up.

Ive always wanted one of these, but only dug one broken one even though they are rather available

A very pleasing looking bottle above, but this one here is the only early Merchant I have found

Matt, which ones are more common, the one in teal blue IP or the smaller IP aqua one I dug

For open pontilled they are comparable in rarity but the teal and emerald ones bring better prices.
An iron pontilled aqua seems pretty uncommon to me and would probably sell pretty well.

Great post Matt. Do you have any idea or thoughts on what the "+" is for on the back of some. I have seen them often on the smaller rectangular open pontils, and recently picked up a small tombstone shaped one that is smoothbase that has it on the back also.

I noticed this post...

I have a GW Merchant for sale that is less than perfect, but not bad. I was going to list it on my website, but would rather offer it (at a real bargain) to the forum. Time to clear out some bottles!!

THE GOOD... Deep emerald green, crude and loaded with bubbles, open pontil base...
THE BAD... open bubble in the front, small lip flake, weaker embossing

$95 plus shipping!
Colored, pontilled, embossed... under $100!
