I have been interested in Hartshorn bottles for a while and was wondering if anyone knew the story behind this repro? Did the label come roughed up like that? Is that the only color? I have heard Crownford was an Italian Co.?

They apparently also made some of those funky milk repros...

And several other bottles I have seen.

Matt ,
I believe you are right on the Crownford Co . being Italian .
I have seen the repros in Amber and Yellow . Most I have seen had perfect labels ( the one you have pictured may have been doctored or just exposed to the elements) .
If I am remebering correctly , Crownford made some labeled Warner Safe Cures also . The same or very close in coloration to the repro Hartshorns.

Thanks Brian, I assume they were just made as decorative collectibles and not for any particular event or other purpose?
I saw whiskeyman had some of the repros in his last thread.
