I don't really have any information I can offer you, but oddly enough I have an identical bottle without a label- same blob style and shade of green even. Wonder if mine was also a Dr. Pepper or if they just put paper labels on any bottles they could afford like Pepsi did for a short time?

Personally, I believe that Dr. Pepper label was never intended for that bottle. Someone stuck that label on the bottle probably for display purposes. I believe Dr. Pepper used crown top bottles in the ten or twelve ounce size for the anniversary bottles.

The bottle is typically associated with mineral water from the 1890-1915 timeframe such as Londonderry Lithia. I don't see how it could be made to seal properly with a carbonated beverage inside, so I would judge that this is a "marriage" meant to deceive. The same exact label is always shown in advertising on a crown top bottle. I could certainly be wrong on this, though, so will see what other comments there are!
