Gunther I just checkd the bottle and the haze seems to be vanishing with time which has been about 6 hours now[][][].

HXTAL takes some practice to use. After mixing you have to let the bubbles settle out. This can take a while. It normally dries crystal clear. Did you heat it to speed up setting time? That can introduce air bubbles that make it milky if it gets too hot. It normally takes about a week to set unless you heat it some. You have to be careful what you use to color it. I think Orasol dyes work good (careful they are super concentrated). The color is best added to the part B I think??? before mixing the two glue parts together.

There is a thickening agent I have read about that makes it easier to filler work with HXTAL. I havent tried it.

Another good thing to know about HXTAL is once it is mixed you can stick leftovers in the fridge to make it last longer before curing.

Thanks Matt for the information.I actually placed the bottle in a Posstitive air flow chamber I have that I bought for painting car parts to remove the gases from the mixture.The piece is starting to look better already by the hour so I will be patient.Here are some more pictures of Dyotts glass works as they looked in 1821.

I took some higher resolution pictures today the bottle is full of whittle,potstones and is very crude.

I also cleaned the bottle using Cerama Bryte with a buffer.It came out nice. This is a good glass cleaning product and it also will remove scratches from DVD's and other plastics such as your cell phone lenses
