I normally don't get too excited over digging ashtrays. Have found quite a few, especially in 1930s dumps. This one comes from a little 20s site I stumbled upon. Was wondering if it is attributed to any special artists with the last name "MORSE" or if it is just a unique little piece made by a local who took up pottery for fun... Any ideas? Any help? Much appreciated!

Its an art class piece with good form and a bad glaze. With that glaze, you couldnt get the piece clean, too many holes in the glaze for ashes to lodge in. Signature on the bottom is the name of the person who made it. Just need a number to tell which hour of art class it was made in.

Thanks guys!! I knew this forum would be helpful. Amazing that not much has changed sometimes. I had ceramics in art class before too.
