Dump digging

Well i havn't searched for bottles in a while now and i figure if i am going to start again i should do it right because befor i used to just do like the top foot or so deep so know im wondering how to find a good dump location, I am 14 years old and i live in Newfoundland, Canada, so does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks

Well, it is generally assumed that the deeper you dig, the older the finds will be.. maybe going back to where you dug shallow and seeing what is further down would be a good start? Otherwise, when you are looking for evidence of a dump on the surface, try to find out the age of that stuff before you really go to work on it...

Just dig away. Sometimes, old and new stuff is mixed which I still can't figure out. Funny, Joe, Tom and I were just talking tonight about digging in Canada. You're near the ocean, so I would definitely look on the beach too.
