Bought this at a garage sale in memphis tennessee. One collector website has it pictured and states there are only six others known to exist. Is this really that rare? Any input on this bottles history would be appreciated. Approximate value ? Thank you.

Helluva score, there. The rarity sounds about right from what I hear. Is there any other damage other than the open bubble on the base?

I agree with JIM!A nice tumble would help..but then you run the risk of more damage.yep great find! JAMIE

Don't assume that a post from some years ago means there are still only that many. I'm sure it's a great find but now there may be more reported. What was the year of the post?

Thanks for the replys so far. There is a chip above the Y in Meyer. Attaching a pic of it and one of reverse side of bottle.

The info I found on Internet was from 2003.

If I tumbled it, I'd do the inside only. The patina on the outside looks tough as hell to me. And it is still a rare bottle.

What kind of business or store does tumbling? I keep hearing folks say professionally cleaned or tumbled. However , I have no clue where any professional glass cleaners. Thanks for the information. Greatly appreciated

There are quite a few that do it but it's usually by mail. Be careful with the IP, it looks nice.Maybe an acid bath would get the rust off but lower it slowly to get an air pocket in the base? That's theoretical from me, I've never tried.
