Hi folks, I am off until Monday while they shut down the reactor at the Nuke Plant so I came north to do some stuff around the house. Here are a few of my latest finds from all over......Jim
First off is this 1911 David Boyle blob after he started to expand to surrounding towns in the early 1900's, very hard to photo the embossing but besides Paterson it also has the towns of Ridgewood and Pomton Lakes NJ, it seems this later bottle is much harder to find than his earlier examples.....
Second is this bread wrapper from 1928, Jersey Bread was made in Paterson as seen on the label in the second pic.....I love this kind of stuff framed...
This is a great get for me, these usually sell in the $75 range but I got it for $20 from a friend, great sign !!!!!
This is a truely super stereoview of the Passaic Falls with the river below completely frozen and two people playing on the ice from about 1875, a super hard to find image !!!!!!!
and lastly this Lions head stamp from the Paterson Small Claims Court or as they called it at the time "Small Cause" court. It works perfectly and is made of cast iron with a Sept. 27th 1904 Pat'd date, it was for Abraham Boylan who may be a member of the Famous Boylan's Soda family, I will research it when I have time.......Jim
