Picked this up at an estate sale yesterday for $150. I normally don't deal in things I don't collect, but I had a feeling that this was something special. Only marking is a design on the side. Doesn't look like there's any damage. Anyone know anything about these?

I would say beehive form, c.1850 to 1870, from the Northeast.
