fine codd bottle

Hi, I have a codd bottle in what I think is a corn flower blue with a cobalt blue ball. The only embossing is a five pointed star on the bottom. Hoping to find any info available on manufacturer, age, contents, value and so on. Thanks in advance, Reid

hi reid ryder welcome to the forum. thate codd,looks new to me,yas i know,thay don,t make them anymore in the west,but they still do in the oreant,indea,japan,indonesa,still use codd, so im thinking,that mybe a new or later made one from one of thues places. now youv got me wondering....jim

Hi reid ryder.

This bottle is definitely modern and most probably made in Japan in the last 10 years and would have been filled with a very sweet drink that had a small amount of fizz. They do still use Codd bottles in India but these are of a much heavier glass to this one.

Thanks guys, did'nt know they were still making and using the codds. I guess the star embossing would fit for a Japanese co.

Trog, forgot to mention that my daughter is living and working down under. She lives in Brisbane and travels to Perth & Roma for the co. she works for.
