Nic and I dug a really crazy privy today I am going to call the "Pizz Pit."
We had to squeeze in to this space between a cement/cinder block wall and the other wall of the pit (there was actually a wood liner against the cinder block wall, too- go figure THAT out). The thing ends up wet at 3 1/2-4 feet. Almost every bottle was corked and filled with a yellow fluid. Some kind of early medicine? Oh no! One large bottle I pull out has a fresh hole knocked in the corner. As I lift it out, it emits the fluid. What a rancid smell. 120 year old PEE is splashing all over me. It reeks and I almost hurl. All these bottles were thrown in the pit by the owner of the place that used to be here. How did he pee in the little bitty openings of druggist bottles?

Anyway, the Lusk bottle is a mystery. At one end it says "McDuff." The other end is a play on the Owl Pharmacy line. It says "Owl Right." Who or what was McDuff?
