While browsing thru an antique mall, I found my first dose cup. G.W. Polston, Druggist, 1301 N Broadway, St Louis. the only references I can find for Mr. Polston are a robbery at his store and then a fire in the same year, 1900. He died soon after the fire & his widow had to sue a drug company to get a life insurance policy. The base mark, W.T & Co., wasn't used by White Tatum after 1901. I am still looking for a start date for his store. Can anyone give me an average value for this type? I am assuming this is a scarce one, since it is not listed anywhere I can find.

I dont know if there are St Louis city directories on line, but that's a place to start. You might be able to get an interlibrary loan of some microfilm for a few years before 1900. Cool find.Scott

Dose glasses are generally quite rare. But as far as my knowledge extends is that Dose Glasses are quite rare compared to the same prescription bottles. However to my knowledge only Western states dose glasses are highly prized by collectors.
