Hi all,
Having trouble identirying a bottle neck for my archaeology thesis and thought i'd ask the experts. Its frosted aqua glass, I only have the top and a neck. The neck finish is 25mm outside, 20mm inside, double ring (top ring is larger than bottom ring - not collared, stacked, grooved or flared ring). The neck shaft (sorry if wrong terminology) is about 35mm from the end of the double rim to the beginning of the widening out bit for the bottle. Thats all I have. Can't find any frosted aqua glass on the internet, any ideas, would greatly appreciate any help.
Cheers seeker

Picture would help, not so sure I understand what you are saying but sounds like Stacked ring (both rings the same size). There is also a Grooved ring, flared ring, collared ring. Not positive on this but beleive the frosting was obtained with a acide bath.

if the bottle was dug up the 'frosting' is probably oxidation etching of the glass from being in the ground for many years.
Photos always help a lot.
