This is a round, clear glass medicine bottle or apothecary jar with "George C. Frye – Portland, ME." embossed on base and a mushroom stopper. Frye was apparently a druggist and medical instrument supplier in Portland starting in the 1860s whose company was still in business up to the 1980s. Measures 7-1/4" high x 3" diameter. Overall good vintage condition. Jar has small (1/4") chip on inside rim. Stopper is cracked but has been nicely repaired. $18, plus shipping. Contact for more photos.
