Funny looking ribbed bottle. Please help identify

Hi. I found this bottle right under my dock in Bocas del Toro, Panama. It cleaned up pretty nicely, but I have no idea what it is. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

It most likely held some kind of sauce like ketchup or hot sauce.

I would guess lime juice but dont know for sure.

Looks like a crown top soda bottle from the 1920’s. Does it say anything on the base?

My guess is hot sauce.. 1920's -30's ...no base embossing??

Thanks for everyone's help.On the base there is a square with either a zero or an "o" in the middle of the square.

Owens Bottle Co. merged with the Illinois Glass Company of Alton, IL in 1929 to form the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. (Julian Toulouse stated this mark was first used in 1911, but according to U.S. Patent & Trademark Office data, Owens claimed first use was not until 1919)
