During the70s at the College of Charleston I worked for man in the battery area. I was tasked to clean his old cistern and found a Germania Brewing Co bottle with sea shells within the glass. I could not find info on this company.

Brewery Operated from 1896-1918. SO, Your Bottle dates from that time period. being a crowntop I'd assume probably more from the 1906-1918 period because crowntops were in much less use before then. BUT, It could possibly be from as early as 1896-1906 as crown tops did exist then but Blob Tops &/or Baltimore Loop Blobtops were much more popular in that 1896-1906 period. even though the crown top invented by Painter in 1892 it was rarely used throughout the 1890's & did start to catch on until after Owens invented the ABM Method in 1903. Is it ABM or BIMAL? Leon.

ABM Automatic Bottling Machine has a thin line seam that runs up the side of the bottle all the way from top to bottom. The BIMAL Blown in Mold Applied lip (just one of many names for it) has a seam that ends in the neck area of the bottle & does not run all the way to the top. Leon.
