Thank you, Mr. Sinsley, for the six Patent May 2 1893 insulators as well as the book on Bitters which I was not expecting but have so far enjoyed. All arrived intact and are an excitement to both my mother and I. We kind of laughed at a few ads and 'Testimonies' of people in the book, as the book begins by saying Bitters were on of the greatest frauds ever created. The drip points, the date--May 2nd is the day my dog died three years ago, and so the date means much to me-- the gorgeous color, and the swirls of glass--the teal, amber, and white-- are all superb and to be admired always, and to be a reminder of your kind gift. They're all a beautiful addition to the collection and display beautifully. Again: Thank you, Mr. Jim. [:)]

I'll post pictures of them, taken after a light cleaning to get a little dust out of them. One--the largest-- has a double row of drip points and is "H G . CO . / PAT [little D in upper corner by T] MAY 2 [little ND] 1893" and "PETTICOAT" on the other. It also has an odd dot in the inside of it's dome--a drip? The period is missing after the "H" The smallest, also the one I probably like the most, tapers off at the base and has the deepest color--along with a little amber in one part. It's a Hemingray No 20 and full of swirls on the exterior. It has uneven glass and a round center--like most-- on the inside of the dome-- a dot, if you will, that is debossed.
The others are similar with numerous subtle differences. One has a moderate amount of amber swirling, one has milky swirling. Some are heavily textured; some have many bubbles, and others have many lines. Some say PETTICOAT one one side, others named STANDARD, H.G. Co., or HEMINGRAY.

After a confusing moment with the photos--it quadrupled the photo of the first insulator. I thought you could only attach three here. It gave me six.-- I can now post more images.

Here's the book. The cover has a plastic dust jacket over it, which bends the light, hence the reason it seems so...? It has a Bitters bottle on it and the title.

Indeed he is. It is an incredibly kind set of gifts that will always be a reminder of his kindness.

On this page the large insulator seems to be a CD 151--but I do not see one missing the dot after the H in "H G . CO . / PAT[little D up by T] MAY 2 [little ND raised up] 1893" One photo of what I think is mine might be identical, but I can't tell if the dot's totally gone, or just not showing well. Anyone know why? Oh, the dot that's like a drip in the center of the inner dome is too perfect to have been an accident--I think. The back says "PETTICOAT" and it's a double skirt--I think is the term-- all have sharper drip points. Other than a little hardly visible wear and what looks like an inner micro-fracture, it's in great condition. Anyone know why this one is different than the rest, or did I just overlook something about ten times?
