hi there!
This bottle was found in sydney, Australia, amongst rocks.
I was told it used to be a ginger beer bottle.
its about 15 cm high and 9 cm in diameter
the stamp doesnt show a date.
If you happen to recognise it, would you please tell me if what I know is right, and when it was made, and if it's worth anything.
thank you very much

Your bottle is indeed a ginger beer, there are quite a few different bottles from Henfrey & Co. It most probably dates 1890'ish give or take 20 years, value is not much in the condition of your one, they are a fairly common ginger. Nice to find ginger beers [:D], they are a very interesting field in the bottle world.

Keep looking, the Henfrey is not that rare but here are plenty of Sydney Ginger Beers that are.

my opinion is that Henfrey GBs are one of the nicer sydney stamped GBs, and were this bottle to be in better condition it would likely go for over $100, but in this condition (very water-worn) it's worth any significant amount ($20 if you were lucky).

Henfrey & Co operated between 1879 and 1916; I concurr with Irish that yours is probably ~1890's.
