Glass battery!?

Found this today about 18" deep amongst a pile of old cans and ketchup bottles. Can't find any info about this particular "make". I wonder if this helped to power a tractor or something!

Very interesting. Is there any embossed names or information? My limited experience goes back to Thomas Edison's Florida lab. But that doesn't help much. I assume there is an acid fluid in it.Based on the picture it isn't but two thumbs tall. Nice find RED Matthews <bottlemysteries@yahoo.com>

The only writing is at the top of all four sides where it says "high", presumably as a (pointless) indicator of the level of the liquid.
