Glass Seal Trash Pit

Dug a trash pit this past weekend and pulled out a total of three glass sealed bottles...found very few of these in the past so this was a surprise. First is a very neat one that is embossed on one side with a man holding a glass of wine with the word "Schutzmarke" above it and sealed on the other side "Ern. Stein/Weinbergbesitzer/Tokay". A few fisheyes and a crack but all there...

The next one was another wine with a long neck with a glass seal simply reading "Tokayer".

Finally, the last was a sealed case gin...common Van Den Berg & Co. but in a smaller size than I have seen before. Just thought these were very neat!

It was a little like digging in another country...dug this little cobalt bottle as well!

Nonetheless, always fun when you are digging stuff you've never dug before!

Quite a score for a trash pit, I say the sealed Gin is Killer! I have never dug anything close to it.

Its always a good dig when one finds a few bottles to reward him for his efforts . I would have been happy with them .

Maybe someone from over the lake moved there and trashed some bottles they brought with them. Good stuff.

Way to go ! Those clear sealed wines are really different. I have never run across them before. I once had a clear / colorless Case Gin pair with Cobalt seals.
