Hi all - I found a couple bottles in my grandfather's attic when we recently sold the house.

The first is a Guckenheimer whiskey bottle. Could someone let me know what this is or approximate time period, and if it has any value to collectors.

I'm not interested in keeping it - just wanted it to go to a good home.

Thank you very much!

Dallas

...also, the letters/numbers on the bottom of the bottle are 64 D2 50

Personnally I would probably drink it.
I dont know anyone who collects later post-prohibition screw top whiskeys.
I'm sure there's a few out there.

Date... 50th week of 1964 maybe?

Hi you whiskey coniseurs; My Uncle Harold always kept a bottle of Gukenheimer Whiskey in his tool shed. He would have it in a paper bag on the top shelf, where Aunt Helen couldn't find it. We bought their Florida home and let them live in it the rest of their lives, while we paid it off. Anyway, if we were in the shop together, he would always offer me a swig and have one himself. When he passed on and I tore down the shop building, I put his bottle and the paperbag in a cupboard in my garage. It is still there, not part of my bottle collection, just a piece of memories by an old time sentimentalist. It was good stuff, though. RED Matthews
