Green embossed Raleigh's Soda

Looking for any info. I just got a embossed Raleigh's green soda bottle that was bottled in Beckley, WV. I have an ACL that I dug with a picture of Sir Walter Raleigh called Raleigh's also bottled there. I am curious if these were produced anywhere else or are they local? (Beckley is in Raleigh County) And if it is just local, why would the Coca Cola Plant produce them if they would compete with Coke?

the only thing or bottles that i found with raleigh's as a name were made in beckley w.v. a 12oz. was made in 1940 that was red/white with mention of only picture of a man no name on the neck and a 10 oz. was made in 1961 blue/white with the name in the middle and on the neck . funny thing they only state that they were both in clear glass and both ACL'S . no embossing.http://gono.com/museum2003/paintedlbottles/paintedr.htm

Actually I have seen some on ebay and around the web from North Carolina as well. I have seen many of the embossed green versions, and have never seen one with an intact acl, it is very possible that it was a paper label.

I shuld have added that the green bottle has a Owens mark and dated 1946 and the Factory ws in Huntington, West Virginia.
