Found this group buried under a ton of junk in an old building a few days ago. Cleaned up nice. A little damage but overall can't complain. Dont know anything on the history of these guys, so hopefully someone can add a bit more to this story?[attachment=rps20131208_141117_387.jpg]

I like insulators, but don't know a hoot about them. Those are pretty.

Great finds!! Glad to see you got the jade one cleaned up.I believe the consensus is that these are early Hemingrays, with the mold made probably in the months before the December 19, 1871 patent. You might want to check with the Hemi experts and see if they have any insights.

i think they're related to the 133.1 "H. Brooks patent" embossed insulators that show up in brooks blue-
Here's one that's brooks blue and a pat. app. for.

Of course... i don't know if hemingray made the brooks insulators or not, just that the pat. app. for's are related to the Homer Brooks insulators. The same trend of pat. app. for and later brooks embossed insulators shows up in cd-125 and 120's tooFinding green brooks insulators is rare... i think. And you found a jade one....
aww shizzle yo.
Good find eh mate?

Brains, good info, thanks! I also got the following reply from a person off ICON: "The feeling in the hobby is that they were most likely produced by the same Company the made the Chicago’s (CD135), some of the Brooke’s (not Brookfield) pat. pieces (cd120, 133.1) and the 125 Pat applied for and WU’s that come in Brookes blue. There are probably a few others that I’m forgetting. Who made them is still in discussion, but we all know there is a strong connection between them. That said I am not an expert on those items so the question needs to go to those who are."

I'm going to hold onto them. Although they are all the same, they do show some variation in shape and color. One of them has some light milk swirling, etc. I've had quite a few emails inquiring about letting the "jade'ish" one go....tempting, but I'm going to hang on to it. I've been asked to provide a write up on the find for the next Drip Point news letter.
