I picked up this guy wire insulator the other day and thought it was pretty cool. I don't know much about them. So are there ones that are rarer to find than other? Any place that has anymore info on them?
It is 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across the top and bottom.

I don't believe that they are rare, but I don't think they are widely collected, so not on the market much. If you like it--- go for it!

My neighbor has a really big one of those that has grown into a madrone tree. The previous property owner worked for the power company and had all kinds of equipment he brought home.

It looks something like this:

Here is a website to answer all your insulator questions. That one looks more modern.

As Dogo mentioned, there isn't much of a market for unmarked brown porcelain guy strains. They're very common. If you enjoy collecting them, feel free. There are lots of sizes and variations around. A few of the marked ones, especially if they're a particular patent, might appeal to more people.

Glass ones, on the other hand, are much more difficult to find and they have a lot of interest.
