Hey everybody. I signed up to get more info on the bottle I found last week. From the many hours of searching I have done online, I gather this is a Baltimore Glass Works GVI-4 Flask. It says "Corn for the World" with a raised ear of corn on the front and "Baltimore" with a tall building on the back. It is amber in color, ~8.75 inches tall, and is a quart in volume. It has a smooth base and an "applied double collared" mouth.
Because of the smooth base, I read it was probably made post-civil war (1870?).
I am not a bottle collector (though I found a Codd bottle on a WWI shipwreck near St. Vincent). I will likely sell or auction this bottle and was wondering what sort of price range this flask may bring? Is there one site better to auction bottles off than another? Thanks for any help.
James
