My son and I went out this evening for a couple hours. Same place as the last post but better findings today. Here are some pics.

I was real excited when I dug this, the label was partly visible in the dirt but I couldnt read it...spent 10 or more minutes carefully prying it loose. Cut my hands up a lil because my kid keeps taking my gloves out of my backpack so I never have them.

I nearly destroyed this while attempting to break dirt clods that were falling from the small cave we dug. Had my arm pulled back ready to chop and saw the arrow head. Never found one before in my life. I'm so happy. [:D]

Here are the two small things I found the other day but couldnt get a picture because my batteries died. No idea what the star thing is but the other is a military pin.

Any info on any of my finds would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking. [:D][:D][:D]

Great finds Krystal. The military pin is an epulet insigna probably from an Army Air Corp uniform. There was a very large air field in Denver called Lowery Field. I was stationed there for almost 5 years.

One of the insulator guys will come along and tell you about it. It looks like a fence insulator but I could be wrong.

looks like a 1920's signal type insulator, nice find if i do say so but not really worth anything. You normally see those in groups of two on telephone lines alnog railroads, they often hold the 440/volt power lines that power the signal lights. Keep digging, the glass ones are'nt far behind!

I've found a few glass insulators before but they were broken. I'm not really into them but that one is cool. I cant wait to go back later this week. The whole place is full of bottles and glass and metal crap. We havent run into any snakes yet and hopefull we dont....its just spiders so far...I really hate spiders and they really hate the end of my shovel. []
