I was looking at all these great bottles and felt something on my cheek. It was drool. Get a shovel and get in there and dig that gray ashy area now!!!!
Some look as old as 1870's & some as new as 1940's possibly like the Dow Paper labels but I'm not as familiar with Canadian beer labels as USA beer labels? I love the Stoneware Pottery Ginger Beers, those are Nice. Killer finds. I'd be back there digging all day if I could, All week if possible. Some good stuff. Congrats, LEON.
The Whelan Ferguson Ginger Beer was made between 1894 & 1926 & worth about $50. The W.H. Donavan Ginger Beer was made between 1890 & 1918 & worth about $50. Hope this helps. LEON.
From what I understand the badge went on the front grill of a car to show membership in an auto club. I believe early 1900"s. Does anyone know if the tall skinny bottle I'm holding with the steering wheel in background is hand blown ?
That's a sauce bottle, I believe-- something like Worcestershire. They all look about the same--1890s I think:
The mouth will have been hand-tooled in most. The closure-type was specifically a cork-glass stopper for sauce bottles.
