The other day, while in an antique shop, I came across this Chero Cola bottle, and I got it for two reasons: First, it was from Tyler, Texas. Second, It had something I've never seen on a Chero Cola bottle: a "Priof" top. It's a twist bottle, and around the top it says "Patented "Priof" Registered". The base says "Riviere" in a cross pattern. Has anybody seen this bottle? Does anyone think they know a value?

this begs a question.

Aren't all Priof crowns from Owens/Illinois or one of their antecedents, Owens, Illinois, etc?

I have some Arkansas decos that are Priof tops and some 3 Rivers, but none that are both. Moodys BC of Little Rock had apparently bought bottles from both makers and I still turn up new varieties and sizes from that 1926 - 1936 vintage...and, this one confuses me. (If indeed it is a 3 River bottle)
Or, does RiverE mean something to folks from Tyler or to Chero Cola guys?
bottlingco? acls? Jay? Got answers?

Fishnuts, I don't think this bottle is from 3 Rivers. I don't know what "Riviere" means, but looking at the bottle closely, I don't see 3 Rivers embossed anywhere.

Rivière was the name of the bottler. He started before 1910 and bottled a number of drinks in Tyler.
