I'd call it commemorative instead of repro. I'm not saying it's either, just that a repro had to be made before. If the lodge was 1990 than it may be a souvenir. Perhaps the Lodge was on an old dairy farm? Cool, whatever the story is.

Yea here's what they said....

Aloha Mr. Sukdolak,

The bottle in the picture was used at The Lodge at Koele when they were first open. They used it serve beverages and also put a variety of nuts in there. We no longer use it or have it in stock, but am pleased to advise they were used at one point at The Lodge.

I hope you find this helpful!

That place goes back to the 1960's from what I read...they don't have those bottles anymore...there can't be very many of them either since it was that one place in Hawaii..whatever they held..theoretically there is a low amount of those bottles....the amount is what counts...not age. They could produce a commemorative coke and make only 100 bottles right now and they'd be worth heaps.

The last one that sold on ebay which was early this year sold for about $40.00 on ebay to someone that I know here on the Big island. If it was really rare believe me it would have hit the ceiling dollar wise if it was a rare Hawaii milk because there are some really hard core Hawaii milk bottle collector here and they would spend over a$1000.00 . It wasnt used as a real dairy milk bottle. I should have not used the word repro because that would mean that it was a copy of a milk bottle that was used before.

So they was used when they first opened in the 90's?

That place goes back to the 1960's from what I read.

Aloha folks,

Seems like there's a tad bit of date confusion. This is from an announcement by Castle & Cooke of their 2006 "Enhancement" of the property:

"The Lodge at Koele was originally opened in 1991, and quickly became a
favorite of travelers seeking a "private Hawaii" experience." From.

From.

PS: Phillip, the original photos of your Koele have gone poof...

I think the confusion is that the Four seasons resort company developed and reopening it in the 1990's. It was a lodge before that but it was more of a Mom & Pop type place.
Big chain resorts put things on the map and popularity soars. I am assuming that it was the Four seasons resort that had the fantasy bottles made and hence the 1990's time period.

I still find it interesting though. I wonder what glass house produced the fantasy milk bottles?
