Hi there
Can anyone help me ID this jar please which was found by my daughters scout group. It says Heinz Great Britain on the bottom and the number 10. Many thanks

Appears to be some kind of condiment made by Heinz (Great Britain). Hard to say what it specifically contained without an example with the label. Here is some heinz history.

I found somewhere else online that suggested that the number 10 may refer to horseradish sauce. Do you know if those numbers wouldr late to Heinz gb or just Heinz America?

Heinz codes. #10 would be from 1895-1910. You are correct if that is a code and not a control number. I put a cork in my heinz #426 from 1936 which held multiple items. I like repurposing old jars. If I can use it, I will. Good jar either way.
