I just recently joined this forum forum and I'm looking forward to discussing bottles and learning new things. I'm 50 yrs old and been collecting bottles for the past 25 years( mainly milk bottles)and recently started collecting insulators.i also like to metal detect and hunt Indian artifacts.i like to dig but just don't get out to dig much anymore so recently I been getting most of my finds at estate sales and yard sales.
Here are some recent finds that i came upon while out and about.i don't know much about any of the bottles in the pics for I mainly collect from towns in my area Shippensburg,Chambersburg,Carlisle, Newville .

The mason is not altered the only thing is its the smooth lip variety which hurts the value some and the Hutchinson bottles I bought because they was really cheap ..I'm just not sure if they are good ones or commons...hoping someone on here can get me some info on them

Welcome to the forums! The two Hutchinson bottles are great finds, I don't know their value though, but they're each at least 100 years old. It's generally accepted that the last Hutchinson bottles were produced in 1913, the first in 1879, so yours fall between these two dates. I visited Carlisle once, the old courthouse is still pocked by Civil War cannon ball marks, as I'm sure many old building in that general area are. Interesting history. It's going to be a good summer :D

Wow! Great color on that jar. I would find a zinc lid for it and park it on a shelf to admire. I wish I could find a cathedral pickle in that color! Johnny M :)

I did put a lid on it and yes it was put in a display cabinet for me to admire every day. A cathedral pickle in that color would be a amazing find.
