has anyone seen or know any information about this laboratory flask such as the one in the attached photos?
It has a unique sort of finger grip in the middle of the neck, and it has an open pontil, which leads me to believe that it was hand blown, but is not necessarily vintage. Have just about driven myself mad trying to find out anything about this.

I would agree with you that it appears to be lab glass. Lots of lab glass used to be blown for a specific reason or experiment set up. The tabs might have been a place for it to be clamped to a stand. The push up in the bottom is different, but it may have been designed that way to catch some precipitate. What ever is was used for, it is now part one of your mad scientist glass display. Scott

OK I think it is interesting. I have seen and picked up a lot of lab glass through my 76 years of collecting. I especially like the Wolff type with multiple necks. Some retorts - so if selling is your plan - let me know. <bottlemysteries@yahoo,net> RED M.

I am sorry no one else has added anything to help you. Obviously it is a neat hand blown bottle. What it was created to do is up in the air, but it is a neat glass item. It has to have some value and useful purpose for being. It has to be worth holding onto - until someone satisfy s your question. RED Mattews
